Day 1, Friday the 13th, features Asian Works of Art:
The top lot of day one is Lot 203: a Zen style painting done in ink and color on paper by Lu Shoukun (Chinese, 1919-1975). This work is signed and sealed, dated 1972. The image meausures 59 in. x 32 in. and bidding for this work begins at $40,000.
Lot 214 is a stunning golden six-fold screen painted by the artist Hoin Kosen Tsunenobu (Japanese, 1636-1713). The work is signed, sealed and features a scene of cranes with pine trees, a waterfall, bamboo and plum blossoms. Each of the six panels measures 64 1/4 in. x 23 in. Bidding opens at $1,000.
Day 2, Saturday the 14th, features fine and decorative arts:
The top lot of the morning session of day two is Lot 642: a Lowrey roll-top mahogany electric organ dating from the 20th century. This piece features a tambour lid which opens to reveal two-tier wrap-around, push-button control panel it also has a two-tier keyboard and sits on a trestle base with foot pedal keyboard. The instrument is sold together with a tufted leather trestle-base bench and backrest. Bidding begins at $3,500.
Lot 717 is a bound set of documents pertaining to Abraham Lincoln and his cabinet dating from March 4, 1861 to April 15, 1865. Bound in full blue morocco by Riviere & Sons, London with guilt edges the collection includes 17 various signed documents or letters pertaining to Lincoln and his cabinet members interspersed with engraved portraits. Minimum bid for this lot is $2,500.

Lot 173 is President James Madison’s American Neoclassical mahogany drop-front secretary desk, dated to the 19th century. This secretary was owned and used by James Madison (1751-1836), fourth President of the United States, at his ancestral estate, Montpelier, in Orange County, Virginia.
