Created in 1998 by Publisher/Editor Doug Breithaupt, Tales of Toy Cars has since been published as a webzine, with updates posted monthly on its own website. Focused on 1/55 - 1/72 scale models, the site rapidly became a favourite among small-scale collectors and an excellent reference source.
Now, however, Tales of Toy Cars will be taking advantage of the easier publishing and communication methods brought by Web 2.0 as it moves into a blog format on Toy Collector.
The new Tales of Toy Cars blog will include the same great articles TOTC has always featured, but the format will allow for easier, more frequent updates and more interaction between writers and readers. Comments and contributions from readers will, of course still be welcome. The original site’s archives with more than 800 articles will over the course of the next few months be moving over to Toy Collector and will remain available. Its regular URL, http://www.breithaupts.com/toycar.html, will now forward to the new blog. The new URL is www.ToyCollecor.com/TalesofToyCars.
