The Old Red Barn's monthly auction will be held on June 6th at 5 pm. Buyers will find antiquities from a private collection, important
paintings and 19th Century prints, collectibles and decorative items, early furniture & turn-of-the-century oak furniture,
historical books and 19th Century maps, pottery, a large quantity of textiles, and better glass and china.
The auction includes 700 lots of quality antiques.
The Old Red Barn's monthly auctions are usually held on first Saturday evenings.
Buyers will find important antiquities from a privately held collection including a Russian 18th Century Icon with original frame,
an East European Icon also circa 1700's, Greek and Egyptian terracotta figures dating to 15 Century BC,
Holy Land vessels circa 1800 BC, Pre Columbian figures and vessels from 600 to 900 AD. Included are a Greek Masketta,
a Greek-Hellenistic figure, Greek terracotta heads, an Egyptian Ushabti, sandstone Ram of Amun,
Holyland Amphoraum wine urn standing 29 inches tall in remarkable good condition, Mayan figure,
Pre-Columbian figures & a ceremonial vessel, a large Manta figure, and several ancient coins.
Offered is an important collection of original art including a restored portrait of a child with dog by John Opie, a tempera still life by Maude Kaufman Eggermeyer,
2 oil paintings by Reginald McLaghlin, impressionist painting signed Bulson, 5 paintings by New Jersey artist Carol Skutnik,
3 paintings by NJ artist Kimball, E Robinson painting of 'Death of Pochoontas', paintings by GA Thurston, Joseph Sloman,
Giovanni Muzzioli, Omer Joachim Luneau, Oriental watercolors & woodblocks, pastel paintings,
numerous unsigned & and illegible signed paintings. Also offered are signed lithographs by S Martin Friedman,
Joaquin Garcia Torres, Alexander Dobkin, Ted (Ettore) De Grazia, and others.
Buyers will find a varied selection of items including an early 19 Century fall front desk,
a book keeper or schoolmaster's desk, early candle stand, a 19 Century mantle, drop side tables,
oak kitchen Hoosier cabnet, oak hall seat, a number of dressers with swing mirrors, curved glass china closet,
oak sideboard, chairs, pedestal table, stands, rocking chairs, book case, and lots of occasional furniture.
Outstanding is a 58 inch restored statue of a Black Boy circa 1890's made of gesso over metal and probably by Goldscheider, Austria.

Pairpoint 'Loving Cup', Roseville & Fulper pottery, mantle clocks, pair of French urns circa 1890,
