There will forever be debate about who the greatest comedy team of all time was. But, certainly that debate will always begin with the Three Stooges and Laurel & Hardy. They never worked together and we find no history of a relationship between the two groups. But, they each left an immortal mark on American culture.
So, you can imagine how excited we were to recently find and acquire a set of autographs of the Stooges and Laurel and Hardy on the same piece of paper, putting them together at some event in the 1930’s. In 25 years of collecting historical autographs we don’t believe there has ever been such a find of these autograph acquisitions together. The vintage artwork on many of these movie posters is amazing. For example, note the stunning artwork for “House on Haunted Hill”, a 1959 horror classic starring Vincent Price.
