Seventeen shopgirls share the shop space in the old downtown historic section of Milton, many of whom have multiple booths. Located between Charleston and Huntington, it is very easy to find by exiting I-64 when traveling through West Virginia - it is a "must visit" attraction. There is something for everyone - from primitives and cottage to WV glass and pottery - you're sure to find a tempting treasure.
Shopkeep, Loretta Wilhelm, has years of experience in the antique business and has spent a lifetime building the clientele of her shop. This move to utilize 21st century communication tools to reach those who treasure pieces of the past is a natural extension for today's marketplace.
While in town, be sure to visit Blenko Glass, one of the last surviving hand-blown glass companies in the United States - in Milton, WV since 1921. It has survived some rough economic times during the past 80 years - including a recent shut down in production due to the current economic downturn. But true to WV resiliency, limited production has resumed. Tours are offered Monday through Fridays and it is definitely worth the trip!
