Antiques & Interiors of Sandy Springs Hosts Appraisal Fair ‘09
SANDY SPRINGS, GA, February 10, 2009 - Antiques & Interiors of Sandy Springs (AISS) will host Appraisal Fair ’09, Saturday, February 21, from 11:00–4:00. Antiques expert Vernon Abrams will appraise small items such as silver, china, porcelain, art, books, and small furniture for $15 each. Proceeds will benefit ArtSSprings (ARTSS), a volunteer community devoted to promoting the arts in Sandy Springs, Georgia. Items such as stamps coins, jewelry or weapons will be excluded from the event. ArtSS members will receive one free appraisal, and refreshments will be served.
AISS will also hold free, educational mini-seminars for its customers during the Appraisal Fair. Seminars include:
11:30 “Collecting Old Books” by Fred Brown
1:00 “Interior Design Tips & Trends” by Linda Rickles
2:30 “What Do I Do With This Old thing?” by Jarrot Lindsey
4:00 “Designing a Gift Basket for Any Occasion” by Joy Mallard
Appraisal Fair ‘09 is a pre-event to the exciting ArtSSprings calendar, with runs from April 18th to May 16th. ArtSSprings produces a calendar of events through music, theater, literature, art exhibits and a garden tour encouraging cultural arts in the Sandy Springs, Georgia, community. Green bows can be purchased and displayed to support ArtSSprings.
