... Call For Consignments Annual Art Auction 2009!
This event, which is a crucial part of our funding efforts, has achieved a national reputation as an important art auction. It is well attended by serious collectors of Cape Ann art.
In previous years, this important auction has presented the works of well known historic Cape Ann artists such as Antonio Cirino, Charles Paul Gruppé, Emile Gruppé, Aldro T. Hibbard, Max Kuehne, William Meyerowitz, Frederick Mulhaupt, Marguerite Pearson, Carl Peters, Jane Peterson, W. Lester Stevens, Paul Strisik, Anthony Thieme, Harry Vincent, Stow Wengenroth and many more.
Consignments will be accepted beginning February 7th during regular business hours.
Deadline for submission of consignments is March 14th.
All works will be reviewed by the Auction Committee to ensure a varied and interesting auction. The RAA receives a minimum of 10% of the selling price. We encourage consignors to donate a larger percentage as this is a very important RAA fundraiser. Full donations of
paintings are greatly appreciated. If a painting does not meet its reserve, there is a 10% charge of the reserve to cover cost of cataloging and handling. Please note: all works included in the auction must be framed.
