Letty & John’s Vintage Collection have been dealing in Fine European Vintage Clothing, Accessories and Costume Jewelry for over 20 years.
For over 10 years we have been active in New York and New England, for 5 years we have worked in Southern Florida and more recently in Las Vegas and Los Angeles. In the summer of 2009 we will be in San Francisco CA.
So far we hauled big suitcases around to show people our wares. We’ve made good Sales but at the sametime not everyone can take everything. Infact one important client in Miami said she loved the stuff but could only use a belt at that time. Two hours, the hassle of parking and the effort and expence of dragging two huge suitcases around for a belt ! This can’t be true!
We decided that we can’t insist on people buying a decent quantity of things without seeing them first so we decided to follow Obama’a example. Use the Internet. Bounce photos over the Atlantic. It would be possible to ship the things and if someone were only interested in a belt that would be OK as long as they were prepaired to pay for the shipping. It would also be nice if people send us their ‘Want List’.
Letty and I want to create a Global Vintage Community where everyone can say what they like about anything Vintage. At the same time people are invited to leave their Web Site and/or E Mail Address so we could build a Vintage network. I learned very early on that in the US everyone does it a little different with a different target so I’m not worried if someone manages to make a sale thanks to our blog. If you sell something perhaps I will too. If you don’t sell anything perhaps it means no-one is buying anything.
Vintage is inthe Stars and the Stars are into Vintage. Ask Julia, Demi or many others about it.!
