Ring in the New Year with the International Collectibles and Antiques Show
Charlotte, NC—Celebrate the New Year at one of the most extensive, exceptional monthly antique shows in the region, January 1-4, 2009, at the newly renovated Metrolina Tradeshow Expo.
With 98,000 square feet of shopping and more than 1,000 vendors from all over the country, rare treasures and exceptional deals await show attendees at every turn, including high-end antiques, furniture, home décor items, vintage jewelry, silver, glass, pottery and ceramics, fine art, toys and memorabilia of all varieties. In addition, shop Antique Village – free-standing ‘boutiques’ presenting the finest quality crafts, antiques, unfinished and finished furniture, unique gifts, rugs and more.
The International Collectibles and Antiques Show also hosts amazing artists who specialize in creating unique decorative items for the home – with a history, of course. One such artist, Kenny “The Tin Man” Hoff, salvages and harvests tin tiles from old buildings all over the country, then paints and stains them to create a gorgeous, one-of-a-kind additions to homes and businesses. With satisfied clients in the local community, Lake Norman and Lake Wylie, for example, he hand-crafts each piece with tiles that are 50-150 years old, then signs and dates them with the tiles’ specific history, creating striking works of art with universal appeal.
This show also features the East coast’s largest flea market, with more than 3,000 outdoor exhibit spaces, offering a vast selection of one-of-a-kind items at unbelievable prices. Guests will also find affordable riches on Piccadilly Lane, where more than one hundred permanent vendors display their distinctive wares.
